The Story behind the Design

The Aria Heart Bangle explores the timeless symbol of the heart through repetition and sculptural rhythm. Instead of a single motif, a sequence of hearts forms a continuous composition that wraps around the wrist, creating a sense of connection and harmony.

The earliest concepts were developed through hand sketches using graphite pencil and soft shading on textured drawing paper. Repeated line studies helped refine the proportions of each heart, while colour tests explored the enamel textures and the placement of Austrian crystals within the surface.

Each heart flows naturally into the next, forming a continuous structure that feels both expressive and balanced. The softly rounded surfaces allow light to travel across the gold, emphasising the sculptural character of the design.

Small enamel fragments and crystal accents introduce texture and movement, giving the piece a painterly quality. Through this process the design evolved into a modern interpretation of romance — transforming the familiar heart symbol into a refined piece of sculptural jewellery.
