Ondara Drop Earring — Rose Enamel

The Ondara Drop Earrings capture the flowing structures of coral in an elongated sculptural form. Their vertical silhouette echoes the branching rhythm of coral formations, creating a natural sense of movement and balance.

The design process began with exploratory sketches made using charcoal and coloured pencil on textured drawing paper. Soft tonal shading helped shape the elongated structure, while watercolour accents were used to explore the enamel tones and the placement of Austrian crystals within the coral pattern.

Each coral element contributes to the movement of the composition, guiding the eye along the form from top to bottom. The organic structures create a dialogue between structure and fluidity, allowing the earrings to move naturally with the wearer.

Soft rose enamel introduces warmth and expression to the design. Its colour creates a gentle contrast against the gold structure and adds depth to the sculptural surface.

Through this process the form evolved into a sculptural drop earring that follows the natural movement of the body. The Ondara Drop Earrings translate the quiet complexity of coral into a refined piece of wearable design.
