Ondara Drop Earring — Verde Enamel

The Ondara Drop Earrings translate the flowing structures of coral into an elongated sculptural form. Their vertical silhouette echoes the branching movement of coral formations, creating a rhythm that draws the eye naturally along the piece.

The design process began with exploratory sketches made using charcoal and coloured pencil on textured drawing paper. Soft tonal shading helped shape the elongated structure, while watercolour washes were used to experiment with the enamel tones and the placement of Austrian crystals within the coral pattern.

Each coral element contributes to the movement of the design, guiding the composition from top to bottom. The organic forms create a balance between structure and fluidity, allowing the earrings to move naturally with the wearer.

Deep green enamel introduces a sense of vitality and growth. Its colour adds depth to the sculptural surface and forms a vivid contrast against the warm gold structure.

Through this process the design evolved into a sculptural drop earring that follows the natural movement of the body. The Ondara Drop Earrings transform the quiet complexity of coral into a refined piece of wearable design.
