Ondara Hoop Earring — Rose Enamel

The Ondara Hoops capture the flowing structures of coral in sculptural form. Their organic lines translate the rhythm of these natural formations into jewellery, where movement and structure exist in balance.

The early ideas emerged through hand sketches created with soft graphite and ink on textured paper. Layers of shading helped refine the proportions of the curved hoop, while brush pens and colour markers introduced the enamel tones and explored the placement of Austrian crystals within the coral structure.

Each coral element contributes to the rhythm of the design, creating a continuous sense of movement along the hoop. The flowing lines follow the natural curve of the form, giving the piece both structure and fluidity.

Soft rose enamel introduces warmth and expression to the design. Its colour creates a gentle contrast to the gold structure and adds depth and subtle vibrancy to the sculptural surface.

Through this process the design evolved into a sculptural hoop that follows the natural curve of the ear. The Ondara Hoops translate the quiet complexity of coral into a refined piece of wearable design.
