Ondara Hoop Earring — Verde Enamel

The Ondara Hoops reinterpret the intricate formations of coral through sculptural form. Their flowing structures translate the organic rhythm of coral into jewellery, where movement and structure exist in balance.

The early ideas emerged through hand sketches created with soft graphite and ink on textured paper. Layers of shading helped refine the proportions of the curved hoop, while brush pens and colour markers introduced the enamel tones and explored the placement of Austrian crystals within the coral structure.

Each coral element contributes to the rhythm of the design, creating a continuous sense of movement along the hoop. The organic lines follow the natural curve of the form, giving the piece both structure and fluidity.

Deep green enamel introduces a sense of vitality and growth. Its colour brings depth to the sculptural surface and creates a vivid contrast against the warm gold structure.

Through this process the design evolved into a sculptural hoop that follows the natural curve of the ear. The Ondara Hoops translate the quiet complexity of coral into a refined piece of wearable design.
