Ondara Wreath Necklace — Rose Enamel

The Ondara Wreath Necklace grew from a study of organic forms and quiet transformation. Inspired by the intricate structures of coral formations, the design explores how living patterns can be translated into sculptural jewellery.

The first concepts were developed through hand sketches drawn in graphite and fine liner on textured paper. Layers of pencil shading helped define the proportions of the circular form, while coloured markers were used to explore the enamel surfaces and the placement of Austrian crystals within the coral structure.

Each coral element contributes to the rhythm of the wreath, creating a continuous movement around the open centre. The circular composition symbolises continuity and renewal, while the crystals introduce subtle reflections of light across the textured surface.

Soft rose enamel accents bring warmth and expression to the piece. Their colour introduces a gentle contrast to the gold structure and adds a sense of depth within the sculptural composition.

Through this process the design evolved into a sculptural pendant that frames space rather than filling it. The Ondara Wreath Necklace translates the quiet complexity of coral into a refined piece of wearable design.
