Ondara Wreath Necklace — Verde Enamel

The Ondara Wreath Necklace began as a study of organic growth, continuity and inner strength. Inspired by the intricate structures of coral formations, the design explores how living patterns can be translated into sculptural jewellery.

The first concepts were developed through hand sketches drawn in graphite and fine liner on textured paper. Layers of pencil shading defined the proportions of the circular form, while coloured markers were used to explore the enamel surfaces and the placement of Austrian crystals within the coral structure.

Each coral element contributes to the rhythm of the wreath, creating a sense of movement around the open centre. The circular composition symbolises continuity and renewal, while the crystals introduce subtle reflections of light across the textured surface.

The deep green enamel brings a sense of vitality to the piece. Its colour evokes growth and regeneration, adding depth and life to the sculptural structure.

Through this process the form evolved into a sculptural pendant that frames space rather than filling it. The Ondara Wreath Necklace translates the quiet complexity of coral into a refined piece of wearable design.
